Tutorial One (16/3) - Initial Designs

This page shows a bubble diagram and my initial ideas for the relationship between each space. It also some ideas for creating a more minimal space, eg; storage space under the bed, the shower overlapping the entry of the bathroom and the benchtop also acting as a table. My initial ideas used a circle, where each circle acted as a different space.

The second page develops my circle idea and also starts to experiment with materials, mainly glass with wooden shutters to provide privacy as the enclosure is in a public space.

In these diagrams i have refined the section for the circular plan and started developing a different plan with 2 levels - public and private. It can create a smaller enclosure.

At the end of the tutorial, my rules were:

1. No ceiling

2. Multifunctional space (more compact)

3. 2 distinct areas - public and private

Because of these rules i have decided to develop the second plan as it can create a smaller space, where areas can be used for more than one function. It also only had 2 levels, where public and private can be seperated.
